Research interests and main scientific achievements

Prof. Dr. Elena B. Brusina was among the leading developers on the current prevention of healthcare-associated infections in the Russian Federation.

Her research interests include evolution of multidrug-resistance organisms in various healthcare settings and risk management in public health surveillance.

She is a Deputy Chief in Committee on Epidemiology within the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and Chief Epidemiologist of Siberian Federal District and Kemerovo Region.

Prof. Brusina is an Emeritus Member of Russian Society of Epidemiology, Microbiology, and Parasitology and a Board Member of National Association of Specialists in Healthcare-Associated Infections.
