Research interests

Scientific research is devoted to studying the mechanisms of interaction between viruses and cells, the structure and function of viral proteins, development of vaccines, and the study of innate and adaptive immunity. Zverev V.V. organizes work on the creation of a new class of innate immunity activators for emergency prevention of many infections, studies the interaction of viruses with the cell, the regulation of the expression of virus receptor genes and the function of viral proteins. Zverev V.V. first isolated and described the human CD4 t-lymphocyte gene. Zverev V.V. participated in the development of methods for lababoratory diagnostics of HIV infection, viral hepatitis, herpes, cytomegalovirus and respiratory infections and in the implementation of priority research on the study of genetic variants of the rubella virus circulating in Russia. Author of more than 350 scientific papers, 18 copyright certificates and patents, 10 monographs, 8 textbooks.
