Research interests
- The molecular mechanisms of innate immunity (TLRs, defensins, cytokines, etc.) during vaccination, in infectious pathologies;
- associations of polymorphic markers in “immunity genes” with the course and effectiveness of treatment of infections;
- study of the immune response and interferonogenic activity of vaccine strains of Varicella zoster (Oka and others) and influenza virus (A/Krasnodar/101/35/59 (H2N2) and a number of homogeneous and polygenic reassortants.
Main scientific achievements
A personalized approach to assessing the system of innate immunity has been developed based on a study of recognizing receptors, signal and effector molecules at the levels of gene polymorphism, mRNA, protein and functional activity; an algorithm for evaluating the effectiveness of drugs containing endosomal TLR ligands has been proposed; synthetic DNA ligands have been identified that are promising as components of vaccines aimed at activation of innate immunity.
